A power-struggle between our Electrician and Edison appears to be resolved. We have been advised the
electricity will finally be connected this Thursday!!!
Until now, all sub-contractors have been sharing one outlet with two plugs attached to the old service panel now sitting in the middle of our hallway. This single 15A circuit was constantly being tripped during construction.
The old service panel and electric meter can finally be removed from the center of our home! The new panel and meter are on the outside of the house off the new addition. It's odd coming from the Midwest that Californian's put this equipment outside the home. Have they never heard of the bogeyman killing power to a house?
NOTE: electricity is the final step for activation of the A/C systems.

The breakers were old and brittle after baking in the desert sun for 52 years. |

The new 3" wide conduit for Edison's supply wires |
|
The now infamous "mandrel" that Edison required pulled thru the 3" wide conduit to ensure open access for their wires. We failed 5 separate Edison inspections (each with the Electrician absent or complaining). |
