Walls coming down
In order to prepare for the upcoming reconfiguration of the kitchen, hallway, laundry room, and guest bath, we opened up the necessary walls to expose the existing framing, electrical, and plumbing. Interesting discoveries (although not unexpected)... (1) exterior walls have a mere sheet of paper insulation, and (2) the "drywall" was installed in horizontal strips and it was very heavy because it included concrete aggregate.
